Bhavya Athmaram

Bhavya Athmaram serves as the Associate Director of Public Investments. She works closely with senior members of the investment team on external manager selection across both public and private asset classes, as well as asset allocation, investment strategy, and risk management.

Prior to joining the foundation, Bhavya worked on the buy-side with BlackRock for six years as a quantitative investor in Aladdin Risk Analytics and as an investment platform specialist for iShares. For the preceding years, Bhavya worked on the sell-side at Nomura Securities and Deutsche Bank in New York. She started her career as a software engineer at Pi Corporation in Bengaluru, India which was later acquired by EMC Corporation.

Bhavya holds the Certification in Investment Performance & Measurement (CIPM) from the CFA Institute. Bhavya earned a master’s degree in information systems management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from RV College in India.
